Balázs Scheidler, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Engineer of Balabit IT Security has received the “Info-communications Manager of the Year – Gyurós Tibor Prize” from the ICT Association of Hungary (IVSZ), established by the ICT industry top managers in 1997, Hungary. Since then, every year an independent jury, consists of senior ICT managers and journalists, select the Info-communications Manager of the Year in Hungary, the person who has highly contributed to the success of his/her company and the development of the domestic IT industry and society. In 2011 IVSZ renewed this award, the jury also considered the winner’s results in innovation and value creation.
Balázs Scheidler was born in 1977. Several Linux related project initiatives underlines his acknowledgement among the members of the open source community. He has earned a degree in computer engineering from Pannonia University, Veszprém in 2000. As a member of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF ) logging workgroup, he plays an important role in regulating the global industry standards. He is also a member of board in Common Event Expression (CEE), the U.S. government initiative created to standardize logging methods.
