Balabit’s Blindspotter was selected from 30 finalists from 11 countries.
Among the finalists are innovative academic research companies and their promising spin-offs, niche market focused start-ups, new solutions from established cyber security & privacy entrepreneurs and several vendors from the ICT/Telco industry with innovative security offerings.

Zoltán Györkő, CEO at Balabit said:
“We are very proud to be awarded the Innovative Cyber Security Company at the IPACSO Awards, the innovation framework for ICT security, and I would also like congratulate all of the finalists. Being a pioneer has never been an easy job: you fail, you stand up, and you continuously persist, awaiting the first signs of recognitions. We are truly grateful to see early and positive market recognitions for our relative new Blindspotter, which was just announced a year ago and became generally available in July this year. User Behavior Analytics (UBA) tools will be increasingly popular because they are transforming security and fraud management practices, which are real pain points of IT decision makers today. Blindspotter tracks and visualizes user activity in real-time for a better understanding of what is really happening inside the IT system, and offers a wide range of outputs from a priority dashboard to automatic interventions.’

About Blindspotter, the award-winning User Behavior Analytics tool
Blindspotter analyses user activities and identifies suspicious events occurring throughout IT systems. It is designed to help organizations mitigate the impact of advanced persistent threats (APTs) or identify malicious internal activity and to speed up the investigation process of any suspicious activity. Blindspotter tracks and visualizes user activity in real-time to provide organizations with a better understanding of what is really happening on the network. The solution works by collecting and analyzing user-related events and user session activity in real-time. It then compares every action to the corresponding baseline of users and their peers to spot anomalies in their behavior – such as an administrator logging in outside of their normal hours. Blindspotter is even capable of detecting abnormality on the level of issued commands and automatically reacts to minimize the impact of any threat.
