17.1.2. Procedure – Running Audit Player without administrator privileges

Note

On Windows systems with User Account Control, local administrator accounts run as standard user accounts, and require running Audit Player with the 'Run as Administrator' option.

Optional: Perform the following steps to allow a user to run Audit Player without privilege elevation requests.

  1. Allow the user to write and modify the C:\Program Files\Audit Player\var folder.

  2. Allow the user to write and modify the C:\Program Files\Audit Player\bin\Textract.Log file. Create the file if it does not exist yet.

  3. Allow the user to write and modify the C:\Program Files\Audit Player\bin\Textract.ini file.
