Support of syslog-ng versions

Updates for the different versions of syslog-ng are provided according to the following table. For details about the extent of support, see the following table. syslog-ng OSE versions are generally supported for about a year, or until the upcoming major release is published.

If you are running syslog-ng in enterprise environment, perhaps looking for longer support periods or guaranteed SLAs please consider upgrading to the Premium Edition of syslog-ng.

Not supported This version of the product is not supported in any way. Upgrading to a newer version is strongly recommended.
Maintained Fixes and updates for this version of the product are released only for security purposes, or upon customer request. Upgrading to a newer version is recommended.
Supported Fixes and updates are periodically released for this version. These updates do not contain new features or functionality.
Development This is the current development release, where new features are being created. Production use is not recommended.
