Supported platforms
The syslog-ng Premium Edition application supports several architectures, including x86, x86_64, and SUN SPARC on a variety of operating systems: Linux, BSD, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, Microsoft Windows (including Vista and 2008 Server), and IBM System i.
The syslog-ng PE license allows you to download and use syslog-ng PE binaries for the following platforms:

**The syslog-ng Premium Edition application can run on IBM System i, but syslog-ng Agent for IBM System i is licensed independently from syslog-ng Premium Edition. Supported version: V5R3 or later. The syslog-ng Agent for IBM System i is available as a standalone product and is priced and licensed independently from syslog-ng Premium Edition.

Windows Eventlog
The central syslog-ng server cannot be installed on Microsoft Windows platforms. The syslog-ng Agent for Windows is capable of forwarding log messages to the central syslog-ng server. The syslog-ng Agent for Windows application is available for both the x86 and x86_64 architectures, and supports Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, and Windows XP.
IBM System i
The syslog-ng server can be installed on any IBM System i into the Portable Application Solutions Environment (PASE). The syslog-ng Agent for IBM System i application is available for any version of IBM OS/400 or i5/OS from V5R3 and later. The syslog-ng Agent for IBM System i is available as a standalone product and is priced and licensed independently from syslog-ng Premium Edition.
